Ta-da!!Can you see these beautiful  icicles?

We can see icicles hanging down sprinklers during winter.

These icicles are made for the purpose of the frost damage protection. It seems getting icicles disturb the protection measure, but actually these icicles help tea trees not to get frost over them.At Iwamotoen, some tea fields have sprinklers, while others have frost protective fans. The frost protective fans is a fan-like machine standing in the middle of tea fields, which is supposed to clear frost from tea trees.

The sprinklers will have been operated until tea sprouts get used to freezing hardiness. We refer to "the freezing hardiness temperature of tea sprouts in 2017" on the website of Kagoshima Prefecture. Freezing hardiness …the degree that tea trees can bear getting damage caused by cold. About the sprinklers article
