We cancelled tea leaves picking of Shuto-bancha. We have almost finished the process of"Fedge trimming" and "Autumn skiffing" 《About"Autumn skiffing"》 The tea leaves right now are so long that one-time pruning is not enough.So we need to prune them twice. After pruning, tea leaves usually turn into brown color because of the sunlight.(Leaf scorch)So we probably need to prune them one more time. We do prune for the first-grade tea.The process of pruning is important to equalize the length of sprouts. We need to consider the timing of pruning, because there is a possibility of undesirable sprout. On average, when the temperature marks lower than 18゚C, there is no possibility that the tea leaves will sprout again. We definitely need to prune in order not to have the trunks and old leaves in the product.Although we will prune again before spring, this time is also very important.

Lastly, not only this pruning process, but also every process is important and essential.
