Beautiful tea plantation is not made in a day.
Iwamotoen took over an untended tea plantation. We started pruning this tea plantation from mid-June.
Because tea trees, grass, and other kinds of trees grew willfully, there was no space for us. So we had to find a path as a first step. By using the hedge trimmer and the weed cutter, we found the path first, and cut off the whole branches. Climbing plants disturbed our work, but we somehow have recovered the tea plantation as it used to be.
The work became more difficult because of climbing plants, whose roots had grown under the tea plantation everywhere. Machines can cut branches, but it can't remove roots. The only way of removing these disturbing roots is by our hands. Besides, removing process will definitely continue. Even though we think we finished removing all roots, there will always be hiding roots.
I'm exhausted because of the humid weather these days. I wished there were a wind or something could make me refresh. We might have to continue removing climbing plants after next year.
